8 Nov 2011 – Girls’ Night Out!
Fri: dig the new sun-glasses, bought them at the party store to put smiley faces on the grandchildren 🙂 After shopping and mailing Halloween packages the past 2 days, Linn treated me to a lovely dinner@Bonefish Grill**** Jeff will be leaving for work in Honduras early this morning and will not be back until 20 Oct.
Fresh Apple Martini and Mai Tai sharing a Singapore Calamari as starters, had to ordered it for the name-sake!! The squids were fresh and crunchy, lightly bread, served with an Asian sauce. The green/spring onion garnish and the tempura style green and red bell-peppers/capsicum added to the Asian touch! All quite tastefully to look and eat. Do not usually comment much on food but this is an exception and would probably not have ordered it if not for the name 🙂
Linn had the fish-taco, surprising good.
Fillet and crab-cake: the steak was done to my taste, rare and red inside, brown and slightly charred on the outside. Juicy and moist, was just perfect size. There was no room for dessert! Appreciations to our server Aaron U for his excellent service with a touch of charm & grace. Tkx Linn for a lovely evening. It will be just her and me, mainly her to look after 5 children for the next 12 days! This is also a long weekend here in USA, Mon being Columbus Day is a holiday! Have a good weekend.
