2 Oct 2011 – Fall is finally here…

Congratulations to Katy who did a 5km run in 41mins, way to go Katy! Could not to attend the race as Sophie is still not well and stayed home to keep an eye on the other four kids. She seemed better later and did have some food and was out in the garden for a short while.

L&J planted rose bushes in the back-yard chosen by the kids. They all have wonderful different fragrance and are beautiful with names appropriate to each child: Katy’s Oklahoma/being in OK city, Ellie’s Elizabeth/Ellie middle name, John’s Climbing Don Juan/being a boy, he is more active and Juan is Spanish for John, Sophie’s Angel Face/she certainly has an angelic face. They will still have to pick one for James! They are good at picking out unique rose bush names, wonder what it will be??

Fall is in the air and the ghosts made by Kathy, Ellie and John are up in the trees spoofing in the winds! There are two pumpkins sitting the pouch and waiting to be carved for Halloween. James got to sit in the swing and slept in my arms for a short while. Sat night, we roasted mush-mellows & Linn made hot chocolate for the kids. Poor Sophie is still not her usual self. The three older kids got to stay up until 2130hrs and told stories over the camp fire. Being Sat, they also get to slumber with me!
