Appreciations to SengHock for an informative first photo-sharing enjoyed by both young&old in the new surroundings.

Good to catch up with Alvin. Looking forward to his 2nd edition for La Kopi book. Can anyone find me in this sketch???

Tkx to Calvin for hosting the event and for snacks&drinks, to Ann for a taste of this whisky with an unusual name&label.

Sat: Royals in Our Midst: A Telok Blangah Tour by Tuah Bugis – tkx to Tuah Bugis (his real name is Syaqil Sarafian) for an educational tour and appreciations to the Singapore Heritage Society for organizing this. Had a good time meeting and sharing with this interested group.

It was an honour to be able to share my experiences of Temenggong Rd from 1950-1965. Pix credits to Tuah Bugis&Ng Yi-Sheng.

That though the radiance which was once so bright be now forever taken from my sight. Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, glory in the flower. We will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind – William Wordsworth

One of my favourite quotes (probably overused, but I do like it) also made into a movie – Splendor In The Grass.

Was somehow too pre-occupied with listening that very few pix were taken by me –  4above pix by me@Temenggong Daeng Ibrahim Mosque&Makam Puteri Radin Mas.

Tkx to Les&Ivy for Indian food dinner to celebrate Easter weekend and the opening of Les’s new clinic. Yummy babygoat/kid&wine – the bone will be returning home with me to become broth!

Sun: Good morning and Happy Easter🐣to all celebrating. To others not celebrating, enjoy your Sunday on this beautiful day – am blessed with these lovely yellow-flowering trees just outside my kitchen window. Amazing that it is a roof-garden on top of the car-park.

This is as good as it gets with the sunrise where the feeling of spring is in the air.

If you’ve never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower in spring bloom, maybe your soul has never been in bloom — Audra Foveo

Nice of Clement, Daisy&Darryl to want to have PrawnMee lunch here in my neck of the woods. As usual this venue is packed in the weekends. Awfully Chocolate for dessert&coffee – pass by this place so often and this is the first time in here! Good to be spending some time with Darryl before he goes for his National Service. When has all the time gone, seems like yesterday I was visiting Daisy when he was born!!! Boys to Men…

Reminiscent of childhood memories, luxury, sweetness and sensuality, chocolate is more than just a food–it is therapy – Christelle Le Ru

Mon: saddened by this morning news of the bombings in Sri Lanka where at least 207 people were killed and hundreds more injured in a series of explosions across Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday, one of the most sacred days of the year for Christians. Thought&prayers out to all affected.
