Catching up

24 Jun 2008

Wonderful catching up with friends over the weekend. When work starts, time will not be so flexible. The cost of living here is so high that it will be difficult to make ends meet without a job.

Met up with Carl, a French-horn player whom I accompanied on the piano in Tromsø Music School. Today, he has a 4 year old son and works with non-Norwegians to help them to bridge the transition and to integrate into this society. Lunched with Mette O & her daughter Ida, Mette a friend & neighbour from Kolsås. Ida & May were childhood friends; she graduated as a vet from Edinburgh, Scotland, at present lives near May and are friends with each other.

Pictures from left to right: Victoria terrassen, Stortinget/The Parliament, Grand Hotel, Karl Johans gate (main street looking towards town).
