Mother’s Day Family Dinner

9 May 2011 – Family Dinner

Thanks to Les & Ivy, we had a nice familydinner gathering for Mother’s Day and also to wish so long for now! Wish Lawrence & Mabel could be here too.  Clem, Sue, Pat & David represented the orange generation and Lucas for the purple generation. Imagine the size and numbers if every one of the green, orange and purple generation are living in the same city… 🙂

But for now, bye-bye SIN, heading to the land of the fjords, mid-night sun, northern Lights, Vikings and the most beautiful & expensive country to live! Just in time to celebrate their National Day, 17 May!

May 9, 2011 – Car slams into Chijmes, part of roof collapses: By Leow Si Wan

A car, which was involved in an accident with a taxi, crashed into the Chijmes complex at the junction of Bras Basah road and Victoria Street on Sunday morning. —  ST Photo: Alphonsus Chern

The impact caused part of the Chijmes roof structure to collapse…

This was the old school, Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus/CHIJ where I attended and looks like the damage was to the part of the roof which is near the old orphanage and the Gate of Hope! Thank goodness no one was injured!

Hope, deceitful as it is, serves at least to lead us to the end of our lives by an agreeable route – François Duc de La Rochefoucauld
