20 Jan 2009 – A History in Making

I did not travel to USA for the inauguration. It is happening right under my nose in cold temperatures with about 2 million people at the National Mall, National Monument in Washington DC waiting for Senator Barack H Obama to make his Inauguration speech. He will be swearing on the same bible as President Abraham Lincoln did in 1861 and has not been used since then.

What an exciting moment, when the first African American, 5th youngest, 44th US elected president and the world most powerful man takes his place in the White House as President Barack H Obama. Am completely touched and speechless here with my eyes glued on the TV screen.
