The Gator Nation

30 Jul 2012 – University of Florida

For the first time in the history of London, a non-British marching band performed on The Mall – just in front of Buckingham Palace. The University of Florida and the Gator Nation is truly everywhere!

The Gator Nation is certainly everywhere, even in the memory with Gator alumnus like Linn (1997/undergrad, 1998/Masters), Jeff (2000/MD) and May (2001/undergrad, no pix for this camera-shy daughter who completed her Masters in Norway). Way to go Gators. L&J’s 11yrs old dog is even named Gator. Amazing with all the years at UF and so proud of them 3 who attended with full scholarships and graduated by keeping their scholarships throughout! Those hours driving to Gainesville from Orlando (app 2hrs) to visit them are good memories!

The University of Florida (commonly referred to as  UF or U of F) is an American public land-grant, sea-grant, and space-grant research U located on a 2,000-acre/8.1 sqkm campus in Gainesville, Florida/USA. The U traces its historical origins to 1853, and has operated continuously on its present Gainesville campus since Sep 1906. UF is ranked 19th overall among all public national universities in the current 2012 US News & World Report rankings and consistently ranks within the top 100 universities worldwide.  It is considered a ‘Public Ivy,’ a designation reserved for the top public universities in the USA.
