26 Mar 2025 – The Golden Glow of Friendship

Sun: appreciations with thanks to Les&Ivy for yummy seafood+Steak A-la-Rochalie and nice of Theresa to dress up – she must be one of the most well-accessorize&glamourous OB-GYN who has crossed this life-journey so far…
Petite rhinestone buttons from the forties
Buttoning up the back of a size zero blouse
It appears to be chiffon, sheer, classy, chic
Old Hollywood glamour, but who can wear it?
No one in this family; I want those buttons
But dare I deface this gorgeous garment?
I Want those Rhinestone Buttons

Mon: lunch@MujiCafe/PlazaSIN with Lynne,Winnie&Rebecca(classmates from 1962CHIJ) before L&W take off back to UK&US, hopefully will be able to catch up again sometime next year…

How quickly has 5months passed for Lynne and 16days for Winnie here in SIN.
The Golden Glow of Friendship –
In shared adventures, hearts entwined,
A friendship deep, so well-defined.
Through laughter, tears, and endless fun,
Together we shine, as bright as the sun.
Each memory made, a thread we sew,
In this tapestry, our passions flow.
The golden glow of bonds so rare,
In friendship’s warmth, we find our care.

Tue: appreciations with tkx to Adeline for dinner&movie Unmoored@The Projector,OrchardCineleisure/GrangeRd – do not even remember when I was last in a cinema in the evening?

The film is an adaptation from the HåkanNesser novel The Living and the Dead which has been brought to the screen by Swedish director Caroline Ingvarsson. A Swedish TV presenter’s well-ordered life unravels when she finally confronts her domineering husband about an accusation against him. Her subsequent flight precipitates a chain of lies and paranoia in this taut psychological thriller – pix credits to Adeline.
‘Unmoored’ Review – A Slow-Burn Drama About Victim Culture, Abuse And Dark Secrets [LFF 2023]

Good cinematography where there is a murder but not shown or seen on screen with interesting psychological effects on the effect on the protagonist, who seems partially in denial of what she has done – pix credits to Adeline.
The cinema is really built for the big screen and big sound, so that a person can go into another world and have an experience – David Lynch

Wed: was up until past mid-night last night to see how this ShelteredWalkway is put together but could not stay awake to watch the completion…

Nice to wake up to less dust&noise outside, so no need to beam me anywhere for now – hahaha! Both ShelteredWalkways on MarineT and junction of MarineC&T now completed and one more on MarineC/by the bus-stops to be completed. According to cousin Karen, an eye-sore to architects,

but glad to now be able to cross the road to the MamaShop,SIN-Pools,BengawanSolo without umbrella rain or shine in less than 5mins…

Edited: Sun30Mar2025 – today the last of the 3-ShelteredWalkways@MarineC&T is completed before 1-Apr. Am impressed with how efficiently and smoothly these constructions were done. And now completing some manicure work on MarineT living up to their tagline Delivering Your Feedback Into Reality!

Message from me: I am generally impressed with the MRT-TEL-MarineTerrace Station and would like to keep it that way. Please ensure that your staff keep an eye in these areas especially on Sundays so that ppl are aware that these areas are not for eating or loitering about. Thank you for your consideration.
Their reply Tue1Apr2025: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you are impressed with the Thomson-East Coast Line Marine Terrace MRT station.
We understand your concern about keeping the area free from eating and loitering, particularly on Sundays. Please rest assured that we will remind our staff to monitor these areas more closely to ensure the station remains clean and well-maintained.
While regulating such behavior can be challenging, we believe that fostering a considerate environment is a shared responsibility. We encourage commuters to be mindful of one another and to help create a pleasant experience for all. Although we may not always be able to directly enforce good behavior, we will continue exploring ways to encourage respectful conduct among passengers.
We wish you a pleasant day ahead. Best Regards, Rishii Subramaniam (Ms) Customer Relations | Commuter & Community Engagement
Wed2Apr2025: Appreciations for your prompt response. Will be good to have your uniformed-staff to monitor these areas, especially on Sundays to ensure the public that these kind of issues do not turn into problems. Thanks for your consideration. From a resident on MarineCrescent
