Delighted&excited that finally the can of worms opened in 2009 has turned to be constructive&positive. Looking much forward to be able to visit in Nov2025 ie, if health permits, and to meet with some of  cousins from granduncle LAM JeeChiew’s branch.
Tkx to cousin Irene’s hard work and appreciations to her for setting up the website for the Blue Tile Heritage Center a brand of the Lam Center for Cultural Exchange and Roots Discovery in Pengjiang District,Jiangmen City 江門 Guangdong Province/China – managed by Cangdong Community Development and Heritage Education Center/CCDHEC.

Wed: dinner@Rochalie with Ivy while Les is away – her request, kueys from BengawanSolo and the outlet here@78MarineTerrace is the first store opened in 1963 and still here. Wow! 62yrs even before SIN gained its independence but of course renovated&updated with times – pix downloaded.

Thu: tkx to Henry for visit, food&Sunflower to cheer me up – a lovely afternoon chatting,eating,watching movies,etc, bringing back memories from 2011 when he accompanied the 2nd/last visit to the LAM-Ancestral Hall&Homes. Hopefully he will be able to again accompany me if the Nov2025 confirms!

Fri: appreciations with thanks to cousin Irene for taking time to chat late last night/early this morning! who has done and still is doing such an amazing job with getting the LAM-AncestralHall renovated&protected – she is now working on doing the same to the Twin&Pond houses too. What I have in 2009-2011 considered a lost cause and a can of worms, she has managed to turn into a worthy cause and blossoming into a kaleidoscope of butterflies since her first visit there in 2015.

Reply:  opening a can of worms here initiate or reveal a situation that might become complicated. Digging up old sore points or problems from the past – often used metaphorically to describe complicated situations. As for how many are in the LAM family or know anything about large family’s issues&situation will know&understand the use of this expression – hahaha.

Congratulations&tkx to Grandmother niece OG-LAM Jenleng(1960) for updates – will be adding the BrG-names to the family chart +one more new BrG-LAM expecting sometime this month. Not sure if my mind&memory will be able to keep up…
