Leaving on a Jet Plane

1 Jul 2009 – Packed and ready to go

The month of June passed by and much of energy drained. Was wonderful seeing and being with the family, but boy do the grandchildren make you feel your age or what???

News of yet another plane crash,  Flight 447 when I arrived and now Flight 626 when I am departing. Will be on the 300 Airbus series with China Eastern Airlines from JFK-PVG-SIN and if it is my time, so be it.

May’s flight dep 0700hrs but she has 4 days in NYC to visit with family & friends before heading to OSL. My flight dep 1200noon with connections to Cincinnati (CVG) and JFK before heading back to SIN via Shanghai (PVG). Hope that the body temp will be normal for the PVG aliens’ health control! Will happily quarantine myself in my SIN HDB Fri 3 Jul evening 🙂

  1. Amy,

I have enjoyed reading about your adventures back in the States. Glad everyone is OK now. I just got back from Orlando where we spent a week with all the kids and grandkids doing the Disney thing. It was fun, but I’m glad to be back to the peace and quiet.

Mack and I talked about maybe retiring in a couple of years and he is actually talking about going back to Orlando! For so long he has been against it because he hates the heat. But we have time so there is no telling where we will end up.

Keep in touch and I will keep reading your blog. Hope your flight is good and you return refreshed.
