St Patrick’s Day 2025

18 Mar 2025: Happy 51stBirthday Linn

Sat: is the Moon extra bright&large tonight or is it my OldFlowerEyes 老花眼 or imagination?? It’s absolutely beautiful&stunning, enjoying every moment of it. Believe it or not, was just watching a movie BlueMoon Blue Moon (1999) | Full Movie | Stream Core and took a look outside on the way for a toilet break – talk about coincidence but then read somewhere that there are no coincidences!

Everyone is a moon, and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody – Mark Twain
BloodWormMoon – first total lunar eclipse this year where US,Canada, and the rest of N&S-America will experience the full duration of totality. The moon phase on Sat15Mar, is Full Moon with an illumination of 96.77%. This represents the percent of the moon illuminated by the sun.
Sun: StPatsParade and here’s to celebrating&marking this event now 60times! in this life’s journey. There was a slight reluctance to budge away from the comfort AC-zone of the 4walls but will make the effort when health&weather conditions are permissible so as to live with as few regrets as possible – challenging as it can be while looks can be deceiving, hahaha!
Good turn-out, nice to see young&old+new faces – green balloons added a nice touch to the ambience&festivity.
May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of St Patrick behold you
Appreciations for dinner@Rochalie and meeting with BabyKai/5weeks to proud parents Galdy&ShawnNg – seems like another lifetime ago carrying a baby.
There are places in the heart you don’t even know exist until you love a child — Lamott

Mon: appreciations with thanks to the Embassy of Ireland for the invite and always a pleasure to be there

for another StPat’s Reception@FullertonBayHotel which was the former Clifford Pier/紅燈碼頭 = red lamp harbour referring to the red oil lamp beacon which shone over the pier at night as a warning to ship. Pix credits to the IrishEmbassy of my back, hahaha!

Had my share of the yummy IrishBread&ButterPuddingWithWhiskySauce, a favourite from boarding school days but of course just with a cream sauce then! Nice to see some familiar faces from 2000 when SIN-1st-Irish Ambassador took his position then.

Short walk via the underpass where the bus-stop is by FullertonHotel.
Tue: Happy 51st-Bday to 1stBorn Linn – celebrated her day with cakes by the beach, her favourite place to be! Appreciations with thanks to Lily&Ingvald for visit and for my favourite Norwegian chocolate. Nice to meet with a Norwegian who actually likes being&living in SIN when he lived&worked for a decade many years ago.  Now they live in Sandeid/Norway and return annually for visits – safe journeys back to Norway and hope to catch up when they next visit.
