Sat: Happy International Women’s Day – IWD has always been about gender inequality&discrimination. Gender equity is still not a reality in the world – IWD is a day to raise awareness for equity to ALL people regardless of gender,race,religion,etc.
Chinese characters always fascinated me but somehow can only remember the few easy ones! Despite Cantonese being my mother tongue, still unable to use it to express spoken or written. Using the character woman and see the logic when you combine these characters with another – this is so neat!

女 nǚ = woman
好 hǎo = good/adding the character child next to woman
安 Ānn = peace/a roof over 1 woman
女女 nuan = quarrel/2 women together
姦 jian = adultery/3 women together
IWD is a good day to review these Chinese characters with woman compound! If only these characters were taught as such during our school days, the interest to learn would have been there!
Blessed with perfect sunny breezy mornings over the last few days for the laundry with front door facing East/morning sun and afternoon sun/West from the kitchen&storeroom, best&excellent for drying laundry naturally. Guest bedlinen,towels,etc washed&dried ready for storage until the next visitor.
A crazy storm suddenly blew here in the afternoon slamming all kinds of doors&windows,etc and over within 5mins cooling down temps.
Sun: time to SpringForward for those living in DayLightSavingTimeZones. Do like the peace&serenity of shopping before the crowds – delighted to see that even our small local food&wet-market kept to the simple tasteful fitting colours of the season. Appreciations with thanks to Gel for sharing her goodies from Australia, would not usually eat processed meats but will make an exception and will be delicious with a cheese platter. Pleased to have grocery shopped,cleaned&refridged before noon as the rains started – lovely to be chilling with audiobook&sewing for the afternoon.

Not sure about this LKY&self-portrait artwork by CyrilCongo, was told that if you look carefully the full name LKY&SIN are somewhere there?? Hopefully good investments for bro considering that SIN celebrates its 60Bday in Aug and both of us being admirers of LKY.
Mon: difficult to concentrate,focus,think,etc today, noisy renovations in the block+outside constructions but feeling lazy&tired to go anywhere, so will resolve to headphones&movies. HaleakalāCrater,Maui,HI/USA a dormant volcano, is renowned as the quietest place on Earth. Stepping into the crater is supposed to be a life-changing experience, as the decibel levels are so low that even whispers can sound like shouts, beam me there right now for a couple of days – pix downloaded.
