2 Mar 2016 – Goodbye February

Trumbo****Trumbo was Hollywood’s top screenwriter in 1947 until he and other artists were jailed and blacklisted for their political beliefs. This movie shows how he used words and wit to win two Academy Awards and expose the absurdity and injustice of the blacklist, which entangled everyone from gossip columnist Hedda Hopper to John Wayne.

Tue: last year Krispy Kreme Doughnut Factory in Columbia SC, USA offered free doughnuts for every A in their reports but not exceeding 1dozen which was more than enough for the Fabulous Five last year. Here in SIN 1dozen of the mini doughnuts cost S$24! Calvin and his CC gang sure deserve at least 1dozen of the minis for their hard-work 🙂

Thank you for Calvin’s belated birthday celebrations at CC. Good CDF – company, drinks and food – and who could ask for more at a party 🙂 🙂

How is it possible that Jan&Feb are over? Seems like Christmas was just over and there I was makings notes in the planner for Jan&Feb.  Looks like it is going to be just as busy for Mar&Apr!

Has the world gone mad or are these the consequences of the stress of the rat-race in modern times??

Wed: how lovely to be able to catch up with Garry on transit. Enjoyed a nice chat and picnic with him at T1 viewing gallery where we did not have to deal with the lunch crowds or the noise. Unable to solve the world’s problems this time round, but the Kinetic Rain there never fail to fascinate me.

Safe onward journeys to Garry and until we meet again. Perhaps then, will our cards be in better position to trump over evil the next time round!  Prayers and hopes for a James Bond! or Superman!! and that the majority of the US population are not that unaware, blind or ignorant to play the wrong trump card!!!
